This is the 2nd year the Markertek team from Kingston, NY will be making LSR attempts at the World Motorcycle Speed Trials. The Markertek LSR Team is proud to partner with the following sponsoring companies for 2007: Markertek, Kolb Machine, Martin EuroSport-Coopersburgh PA, MotoVelociti, MonsterBallVise.com, REV'IT Sport USA, Technical coatings, Chargois Group. Other partners include: Street and Competition Cycles, Klotz Lubricants, Shoei Helmets & Pirelli Tires.
The Worlds Motorcycle Speed Trials are held each year at the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The event is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the world competition sanctioning body, and the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), the national competition sanctioning body. This is the event you must run in order to qualify for an actual Motorcycle World Land Speed Record. Last year the MarkerTek team captured the 125cc Partially Streamlined record, piloted by Chief Designer, Scott Kolb.
For 2007 the MarkerTek team brings additional sponsors, machines, team members and riders in the hopes of capturing even more high speed glory.

I was fortunate enough to visit the team for the first few days of the event. Everyone was working hard and getting down to the business of going faster. With extremely high levels of determination and creativity, expect good things from this Markertek team, it was a pleasure and honor to join them for the few days I did...
